China Standard Certification Center (CSC)
As a national social service institution dedicated to standardization research, CNIS mainly addresses global, strategic, and comprehensive standardization issues in China.
China Compulsory Certification (CCC) and China GuoBiao (GB) Standards
The CCC mark is China's compulsory safety and quality mark. The mandatory product certification system assesses product conformity to GB standards, or China's national standards.
GB 21455-2019 (effective 1 Jul 2020) covers the following product categories: heat-pump type room air conditioners, cooling-only type room air conditioners, and air source heat pump air heaters. General trend is a migration from fixed-frequency to variable-frequency systems to achieve big improvements in energy efficiency and acoustic noise.
China Quality Certification Centre (CQC) is a professional certification body under China Certification & Inspection Group (CCIC) approved by State General Administration for Quality Supervision of the People's Republic of China. Notices for standard revisions can be found on the CQC Home page.
China Energy Conservation Program (CECP)
Established in 1998 by the NDRC (National Development and Reform Commission) and AQSIQ (General Administration of Quality, Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine), the China Energy Conservation Program (CECP) is a voluntary certification program promoting resource-efficient products in China. As of 2019, there are 18 product categories listed, including water-related products, electronic equipment, and lighting appliances.
